H I S T O R Y ;

Once a distinguished noble household, Zil's family titles were revoked before he was ever born. His mother, who was fourteen at the time, could never seem to let go of the balls, the servants, the delicate fantasy world she had once been apart of, and so pressured her children to be the best, always the best. Protect the king and you're almost on his level in pwoer; ladies could marry into rich, upperclass families; support the right side and you could reap fantastic rewards: these thoughts were drilled into the children's heads. His eldest sister married into a lower noble family, both satisfying her mother's expectations and getting away from their dysfunctional family. His brother, older by four years, was deemed the most sociable and sent to noble households in hopes to befriend 'people in high places'.

Zil always regarded the rat race to power as a source of constant amusement, nothing more. Why bother ruling a castle? Too much responsibility. He'd much rather play with that new chessboard over in the corner. He started knight training at eight, the earliest they would take him. He quickly established himself as a talented fighter and, more importantly, having an unshakeable determination. He had the potential to go far.

Until he met Harrison, however.

With his 'rival' (read best friend), he managed to prank, disrupt, and cause general havoc and chaos throught the whole region. But that didn't mean he liked Harri. No. He loathed the older boy. Really. Horrible, nasty thing.

At any rate, he recieved his dragon at fourteen, and then his knightship at 18. He was sworn into House Sylea's service, and he remains there to this day.

P E R S O N A L I T Y ;

Zi is snarky, bright, and proud, all traits gained from his family. He prefers his own company over most others, and would rather sit on a roof with a book than talk or fight.

Though he constantly tells himself that his family is nothing, his slightly-unstable mother instilled a vague insecurity in him. He can never forget that everything about him, everything he was, everything he is, everything he will be, it's all because of his family. He sends letters to his cousins and sometimes his siblings, but generally avoids the mere mention of his parents.

Zil's never really liked girls much. Of course, Zil's never really liked anyone much, so that's not particularly helpful. He also has a storm fetish deep liking for rain, wind, and bad weather of any kind.

A P P E A R A N C E ;

Zil's defining attributes are his eyes, a vibrant, clear green. He's of average height, with black hair and fair skin. His dragon, Aria, is a deep dark blue-green.
